Web in 2026 is dead
It genuinely feels like mission impossible to get into the top results these days.
In 2026 and probably few years before, a lot of garbage websites still occupy the top spots simply because they were built years ago, back when Google seemed to approve almost anything. They accumulated domain authority, page authority, backlinks, and whatever else over the years, and now they’re nearly impossible to compete with.
So if you’re trying to build a new website, grow a community, or create something from scratch, it feels like you’re starting the race miles behind everyone else.
And if your plan is to make money with AdSense? Honestly, you might as well go work as a cashier at a grocery store.
Because if you’re not somewhere in the first few search results, you basically have no audience. People aren’t going to page 4 or 5 to discover you.
At this point, if you want to make money online from ads, it feels like your realistic options are YouTube or… just don’t bother.
Reddit, Twitter, and YouTube are where people already spend their time anyway.
